Vegetable treated leather is the most natural material for your dog or cat because it is similar to their natural chemistry as opposed to the most commonly used nylon. Yümba’s water buffalo leather will not irritate your dog’s skin. Also, leather is biodegradable.
It depends on the creator and the product. All options are outlined on the product page, so look out for customization options there.

Cleaning & Care
Thoughtful and regular care is the best way of keeping your Yümba beaded leather collars and leashes looking great for years.
Bare in mind that Yümba purveys luxury goods made with natural materials and that these require some extra attention.
Cleaning the beaded area of your collar occasionally will ensure that the glass beads glisten for years. All you need to do is to wipe the beaded area using a damp cloth to remove dust and buildup from the surface of the beads.
Even though our beads are woven with strong shoe making threads, never twist or bend your dog collar backwards as this may break the decorative beads.
The integrity of the leather and hardware will remain intact even if you accidentally do this but we want your collar to look beautiful for many years.
Your dog and cat coat’s natural oils make Yümba’s full grain leather age and darken through time but dirt and dander can work their way into the leather and degrade it. Using a leather cleaner is always the best choice.
Saddle soap offers a traditional way of cleaning leather and it should suffice. You can also use other liquid cleaners specifically designed for leather. Don't let your dog wear their Yümba collar for swims in pools or lakes; walks in the rain shouldn’t be a problem, as our collars and leashes are treated with a natural hydro repellent coating. If leather becomes damp for any reason, make sure it is thoroughly dry before storing.
